WSCF Publications

This page introduces the global and regional publications of the World Student Christian Federation. In addition to the publications listed here, many national movements publish regular newsletters and occasional books of study material, liturgies and conference papers.


Introduction
The World Student Christian Federation Inter-Regional Office currently publishes a twice-yearly magazine, an annual academic journal and a series of books. WSCF Regional Offices also produce regular newsletters, journals and books on themes related to current concerns of their region. Details of these current publications are listed below under the headings WSCF Global Publications and WSCF Regional Publications.

WSCF Publications: Historic
WSCF has a history of publishing which spans more than a century. Some historic publications are still available for purchase from the WSCF Inter-Regional Office and others are available for reference from the WSCF archives in Geneva or at the Yale Divinity School Library Archives, USA. Some of the titles available include Venite Adoremus II (1961) and Cantate Domino (1957). WSCF has an historic connection to the SCM Press through the British SCM. Starting out as the publishing arm of the British Student Christian Movement, SCM Press has for many years been a fully independent company publishing academic theology. Details of the current global publications of the World Student Christian Federation are listed below.

Federation News
Federation News is a twice-yearly newsletter. It is produced by the WSCF Inter-Regional Office and contains stories on the current programmes and activities of WSCF at global and regional levels. It also carries news on current WSCF appointments and activities and news from well-known senior friends. To see recent versions of Federation News, please go to the Federation News page.

Student World
Student World is an annual academic journal produced by an inter-regional WSCF editorial team and published by the Inter-Regional Office. It focuses on critical perspectives from the world of theology, spirituality, politics and student concerns. For more information please go to the Student World page.

WSCF Global Book Series: Latest title

Talitha Cum! The Grace of Solidarity in a Globalized World Editors: M. DeGiglio-Bellemare & G. Miranda Garcia, WSCF, Geneva, 2004.

Talitha Cum! contains presentations and reflections prepared for the 2004 WSCF General Assembly on the theme "Little Girl get up" or "Rise to Life in Abundance" from Mark 5: 41-42. Different articles in the book relate to subjects as diverse as the global status of the girl child and the strength and spirit of the student ecumenical movement. Price: US$ 30.00


WSCF Regional Magazines and Book Series
Two of the WSCF regions publish book series on theological and political issues and regular regional magazines, which can be found on their websites and in the WSCF Regions section of this site.
The Asia-Pacific Region publishes a yearly magazine entitled Praxis and occasional books on themes being addressed by the region.
WSCF Europe publishes a twice-yearly ecumenical journal entitled Mozaik. The WSCF Central European Sub-region publishes a series of books on theological and movement related issues. To view the Central European subregion publications please go to WSCF Central Europe Publications
