EAP Application Guidelines

This page offers advice to WSCF member movements on the criteria and application requirements for funding through the Ecumenical Assistance Programme.

National and associate member movements of WSCF are entitled to apply for EAP funding for specific projects that fall within the criteria and timeframe of the Ecumenical Assistance Programme.
To find out whether your project fulfills the EAP funding criteria, please read through the following information on project contents, timing and reporting that will be required from your movement and project team.

Criteria for EAP funding
  • The EAP operates within a two year cycle (ie. January 2005 to December 2006). Only projects that take place within this timeframe are considered.
  • All national movements, affiliated, associated or those categorised as contact groups of the Federation, demonstrating 'organisational life' and up-to-date with their WSCF membership fee, reports, forms and other financial records can avail of support from the EAP.
  • Projects must have similar objectives to the EAP objectives listed on the Ecumenical Assistance Programme page.
  • EAP projects must have received endorsement from their relevant Regional Office before being submitted to the WSCF Inter-Regional Office.
  • The ceiling for EAP project requests is USD 8,000. Higher amounts are not considered.
  • EAP applications are conditional on the satisfactory completion of reports and financial statements from previous EAP-funded activities. Incomplete records will result in incomplete applications and are not considered.
  • Late applications are not considered.

    Reporting on EAP projects
  • National Movements are accountable and responsible for preparing financial and activity reports for all EAP-funded projects.
  • Requests and reports will be presented together in WSCF's annual EAP document.
  • EAP report forms are sent in October, reports must follow the format of the report forms. Reports are to be typed and submitted to WSCF's Inter-Regional Office within the deadline of November 30th.
  • Financial records must be made available to WSCF Executive staff and Officers. Audited accounts must be provided upon the request of the Executive Committee.
  • Applications will not be considered from movements who fail to send reports from previous EAP-funded activities.
  • Unauthorised modifications of projects already submitted and approved will result in the forfeit and compulsory return of all EAP funding.
